Welcome to Living Stones
At Living Stones World, we are a community of Indigenous Levantine Christians from around the world. We come together as one body, connected, to find support, empowerment, and resources to raise awareness in our local communities.
Why are Levantine Christians called Living Stones?
Living Stones is a term that often refers to Christians who are indigenous to the Levant region, which includes parts of Western Asia and Eastern Mediterranean. The Levant comprises countries such as Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and modern day Israel. Levantine Christians are diverse, belonging to various denominations, including but not limited to Eastern Orthodox, Maronite, Melkite, Armenian Apostolic, Catholic, Protestant and more.
These communities have deep historical and biblical roots, with Christianity having a long and significant presence in the region since the earliest days of the faith. They have contributed to the cultural, social, and religious tapestry of the Levant and still exist today preserving the historic holy sites and towns.
Over time, Levantine Christians have faced various challenges, including geopolitical tensions, war, occupation, diaspora, and changes in the demographics of the region. Organizations like Living Stones World aim to unite and support these communities, preserving our collective heritage and fostering connections among Levantine Christians worldwide.

Believers are the “living stones” of the church that Jesus promised to build (Matthew 16:18).
